About Adkins Family
Please sign in to see more. It is more than twenty years since curiosity about my roots got the better of me, & I started a long journey taking me back from my suburban home in the East Midlands city of Leicester, to agricultural roots in rural Warwickshire. I have to thank my late Aunt Ivy (my father`s older sister) who pointed me in the direction of Kenilworth...the birthplace of her father, my grandfather, Frederick James Adkins.
It has not been easy, there are still more questions than answers, & there are others who have shared this interest in this family`s history. In recent years & months we have learned of distant cousins in America, Australia, & other parts of England who have also set about researching the Adkins of Warwickshire.
We all share the same gt gt gt grandfather John Adkins of Ashow. His own ancestors are all there awaiting further research.
I hope he would be pleasantly surprised at the efforts of his descendants more than two centuries after his own birth.
I hope that our children & grandchildren will find this of interest...if not now then in years to come.
